I'm not sure if you've been back to the plot of land your father's class built your home upon.
It's, well, I'd say obscenely large, but then, I get into a lot of trouble for what I say (which invariably has the fire-tinged knife of truth to it).
Hoping the new year finds you and all your loved ones well, in good spiritual-mental-physical health, and that you are all engaged in something to do; something to love; and something to hope for.
With warm regards,
Mark Raymond Ganzer

Hi,
I started to ans you on Mon. but got called away. I am home today with the snow and so have time to reply.
Yes, the house is a bit much for that tiny lot. Not sure I like the design either. It was a sad end to the house that my Mom and Dad built with their own hands. We lived in the basement for 5 years while they built it. I supposedly helped my Dad put on the roof as a 2 year old. Parents were different in the 50's. The basement was paneled in solid oak and the living room (in 50's fashion) was solid walnut on the the fireplace wall. The walnut was from a family farm too.
The house had just been sold for the second time and it caught on fire (in the attic) while they were doing some renovation work. I got a distraught call from a old neighbor while it was burning on Christmas Eve. I can not remember the year but I do sometimes think of the house then.
Stay warm.
Marty
