You ought to come visit us just to see how nice the house can look, especially when Ralphie Boy laid down the guantlet with this challenge: I tossed out 50 Kiplinger Magainzes.
Markie toy: I'll see your 50 Kiplingers, and raise you 280 bridge magaizines.

This is the first time in weeks that I have had a study hall that I didn't have to use talking to a teacher or practicing for tryouts. I have this great chance to use this lost twenty minutes of this period for my math assignment. But I decided tow rite you a letter. So, in caseyou were wondering, that's what this is.
Great blow of the weekend: I asked Heather out, she seemed really dissappointed because she had other plans. So, I called her Sunday. That's right, I called her, and when she answered I said, "Sunday?" (God! When the jokes are that bad I should b e doing the algebra). Anyway, I asked her to homecoming. And I got turned down. She was very nice about it. She tole me that she like me as a friend (ever hear this before?) and she didn't want to lead me on. And there is some other guy that she likes. I didn't has who. It probably would have been Mortimer Snurd, and 'ole Mort beaeting me out would 'a' hurt. Anyways We are still going to sing together. And be friends. Whoopee!!
So, I think I had better ask Lori Pedersen quick, . Only 13 days until the 'big dance!'
Randy Nolde told me it might just be because I'm a junior and she's a senior! I wouldn't have thought she was like that; but it sounds better than ole' Morimer Snurd.
Same time (1:30 pm)
Same place
Same circumstances
Different day - 10/07/71 Thursday before a four day weekend.
Well, I asked Lori. would you believe that the guy she had been going with all summer who moved to San Fransisco is coming back? She too was very nice about it. But it didn't help much.
So Randy talked me into asking this beautiful, fantastic voluptuous mouth - (and other area) watering girl named Julie Pope. But she just broke up with some real beat off (probably why she broke up. A girl like this would get frustrated by a guy like that) and had decided not to go. Which as a story, checks out, because I heard some other girls say she wasn't going. She, three, was very nice about it. But I feel like shit.
I have decided no to go to Homecoming. (That's a lot better sounding than, "The girls have decided I'm no not going to homecoming.")
Enough of my heartbreaking life. How is your heart-breaking life? Say "hello" to the guys for me.
Write mom a note if you get a chance.
Take it easy,
John
P.S. We bought a new car. 1966 Buick Le Sabre. NICE and we're keeping the red one. Gay and I have to split insurance, gas and oil for the red car. but I'll gladly do it! Right?
Take care
Be well my dear and beloved friend,
Who was so true to the man
I admired above all others
I have ever known
Whose persistence in the face of overwhelming odds
Whose courage and compassion
Whose humanity
Led him to find you, my dear and beloved friend,
And your great and wondrous love, that never left his side
That was true to the end
Semper Fi
May God grant unto you
All that your heart rightly desires and wishes for
And may the Peace of God
Fill your life
And be your guide
Amen, everybody say it:
Amen
As it was in the beginning
Is now
And ever shall be
WORLDS without end
AMEN.
